Warehouse Open Day Diary

We love opening our doors to you all because there is nothing quite like choosing a book or 10 in person! Being able to flick through the pages, read the blurb on the back and be part of the book loving atmosphere makes a huge difference and will likely result in you picking a book you are going to enjoy.

All the important info about the warehouse, access, directions, payment options etc can be found here.

Below however, are our opening time and details off all the special events we plan to hold.

February

Sunday 2nd February - Warehouse Open Day (With Clearance Sale)

• 10am-1pm Open to all
• 2-3pm Be You Sessions. SEN session for children who don't mind a noisier atmosphere but need fewer people around.
• 3.15-4pm Quiet Session for children or adults who require a quiet setting to shop. Staff are on hand to help but will only approach if requested.

Half Term Open Mornings 10am-midday

During half term we will be open Tuesday and Thursday morning. Drop in anytime to pick up some new reads for the holidays. If you have a child with SEN who requires a quiet visit please drop us an email to arrange a day and time, morning and afternoon sessions available.

Thursday 27th - Rhyme and Sign for Under 5's

10-11.30 a fun session for our youngest customers this month with a focus on rhyming books and sign language. Join in with storytime with signs!

Monday 17th March

Dyslexia Dilemmas - Teacher Training Day.

Join us to learn more about dyslexia and how to support children in the classroom. We will be joined by 2 guest speakers; Kate Morris, Dyslexia Assessor and Tutor and Agnes Ali a Neuro-developmental Behavioural Optometrist. Following on from this will be a short presentation by our in house teacher Katie about Barrington Stoke Books and dyslexia friendly dictionaries.

This event is subsidise and just £25 +VAT per person.

Thursday 27th March - Under 5s Session with a dinosaur theme!

Our monthly under 5's session running 10-11.30. A session for under 5's to come and look at the books and join in some dinosaur activities and stories. Our That's Not My Dinosaur will also be out so you can get a fun photo to take home.

Thursday 10th April - Grandparents Shopping Morning 10-11.30am

Following on from the success of our Christmas Shopping Morning for Grandparents we are running another ready for Easter. These sessions are less busy giving you space and time to explore the warehouse. Staff are also on hand to answer any questions or help to find that perfect book. Free tea and coffee is also available during these sessions.

 

Thursday 24th April - Under 5's Session 10-11.30

We are hoping to have a farm theme for this event.. more details to follow!
