What is Accelerated Reader?

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a computer-based program that some schools use to monitor reading practice and progress. It helps teachers guide children to books that are on the right level for that child. After reading each book children can take a short quiz to test their understanding.

So in our shop this section is for teachers and parents who's children are using the Accelerated Reader scheme. Books are sectioned into bands (i.e Lower Years 1.0-1.9) to check a specific books exact level click on the image which will take you to more information about that book. You can also search specific levels using the AR search icon on the home page.
