All UK Mainland orders are now sent via courier (DPD). This means we can track every order from leaving our warehouse all the way to your door. You will also get a text or email with your delivery time slot with the option to re arrange if not convenient.
This is a next day service and we aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hrs so you should receive your books within 3 working days. More than 80% of orders are received the very next day when ordered by 2pm

We charge a flat rate postal fee of £4.95 - this is per order not per book!
Free Shipping on all orders over £50 to all uk mainland addresses. Please see below for Highlands and Islands.
One day when we are big as say Amazon or those other Book people 😉 we will be able to offer free delivery on orders much lower! Each day small business grow bigger so watch this space!
Delivery to Northern Ireland, Isle or Wight, Isle of Man and Scottish Highlands and Islands
We have tried several delivery companies in the past but sadly we have mixed success. Royal Mail and DPD have been by far the most reliable and so this year we will be only using them. Prices for good, reliable service door to door are of course higher but with DPD you can track your order from the moment it leaves us and will even get an hour delivery time. The following prices will now apply...
Northern Ireland
Orders under £30 will be sent Royal Mail at £4.95
Order £30-£50 will be sent Royal Mail at £8.95
Orders over £50 will be sent DPD (2 day service) at £12
Scottish Highlands and Island
Orders under £40 will be sent Royal Mail at £4.95
Orders over £40 will be sent DPD at £10.00
Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands
Orders under £25 will be sent Royal mail at £6.95
Orders £25-£50 will be sent Royal Mail or DPD depending on weight at £12
Orders £50 or over will be sent DPD at £20
Please note with all non mainland orders, if the weight is very light such as the Indestructibles books, or if you only want 1 or 2 books and can be sent via Royal Mail cheaper, we will always do so and refund the difference.
Delivery outside of the UK We no longer ship large order outside of the UK but you are of course very welcome to order and have them shipped to a UK address for onward shipping. This is a popular option with our trade customers overseas.
Individuals wanting a small quantity of books- we are happy to get a quote for you to ship via Royal Mail- please email with a list of the books you wish to purchase. We will then be able to weight them for an accurate shipping quote.
Packaging
We reuse as much packaging as we can including plastic packaging we receive in deliveries from our suppliers. But we no longer purchase bubble wrap and other plastic fillers ourselves. This year we are fazing out jiffy bags too, once they have all been used there will be no more! These will be replaced with paper and cardboard alternatives which will be 100% recyclable.
We do need to buy in some boxes to fulfil all our orders and these are manufactured by a great local company who are in the same building as us- so personally delivered on foot! We also have the boxes made to our own size so that we don't have too much excess packaging going to waste.
Small orders sent via DPD currently have to go into one of their branded bags supplied by them (as with all couriers) these are something at the moment we cannot avoid but we have raised our concerns about these and hoping an alternative, more eco friendly option may appear soon.
Single use carrier bags- we no long use single use carrier bags on our open days, at school fairs or out at events. We have paper and cardboard options available but encourage visitors to bring their own reusable bag too.
Virtual Book Fair bags- all Virtual Book Fair orders are now wrapped in paper bags with a small sticker attached to identify the child's name and class. Larger orders are packed into boxes.
